Something’s Crossed Over In Me – Intro

Today I want to introduce a mini-series entitled “Something’s Crossed Over In Me.”  Over the next two days I’ll break away from this series to share some updates on the ministry, but on Sunday I’ll continue with this line of thought.  Thanks for reading…

“Something’s crossed over in me…  I can’t go back.”

INTRO

In my last post I told you how I think ’the seed alone’ approach is benefiting people in E-Ho.  Well, I can’t tell you how much this is rocking my world to personally rely on Christ alone and not on my own churchy-ness to define me.  It’s random, I know, but I keep hearing in my head a line from that old movie Thelma & Louise (a movie which I haven’t seen in years): “Something’s crossed over in me.  I can’t go back.”

Something has crossed over in me, and I’m not sure I could ever go back to church-as-I-knew-it or to my life as it was before.  To help explain what I mean, I want to briefly describe my journey with ’the seed alone’ over the last year and a half.  To put it in somewhat overly dramatic terms, I’d like to say that I’ve gone from feeling mildly panicked… to insanely ravenous… to wildly free.

For Sunday: Something’s Crossed Over (Part 1): Mildly Panicked.
