Haha!  No, this isn’t a complaint about people who show bare minimum gratitude.  I want to thank everyone who posted comments to my previous blog entitled “Bare Minimum” - a discussion on what it means to be church in its most basic, simplest form. 

I’ve read and written initial responses to each of your comments. You guys had really good things to share.  If you missed it, you can read it here.

In that discussion you helped differentiate between the ‘essentials’ for being church and the ‘add-on’s - those things we have added to church, which often times distract us from our focus on Jesus and his will for us.

I’d like to explore the implications of your comments on what it means to simply be church.  In my next post I’ll have more to say on removing ‘add-ons’ when sharing God’s Word.
