Prayer Requests
Phil | December 6, 2007 5:00 amThank you to our friend Paul Watson who encouraged us to personalize this blog by adding personal prayer requests. Thank you in advance for passionately submitting our names before the throne of God. We need all the prayers we can get!
Ed, Katie, and Meri – feel free to add to this list as you see fit.
Please pray for:
Our marriages. Meri and I are feeling the need for another date night!
Our children. Pray that we will give our precious boys the love and attention they need, and then some. Pray we will train them to socialize well with other children and handle existing peer pressures in school. Each day we want our boys to know they are accepted and loved unconditionally by God and us, no matter how well or poorly they they did in school, whether or not they followed our instructions at home. I get frustrated and impatient as a dad. Pray that I will more calmly and effectively address certain unwanted behaviors they are struggling with right now, thereby reflecting God the Father’s amazing love to them.
Rejuvenation. Meri and I are presently going through a bout of physical and emotional exhaustion. This probably is due to a lot of factors, some ministry related, some holiday related.
Health. Since 2006 when we started final preparations for this ministry up until this present day, we have experienced one health problem after another. We lost Meri’s mom to cancer. My immediate family has had three major surgeries (including Meri’s life-altering ankle break), and one minor surgery. Every adult in Way of Life Village has had a bad back at one time or another. And everyone’s effort to start up a regular habit of exercise has been hindered by an injury. We’re ready for a healthy 2008!
Hector’s* protection. Hector, a newly baptized believer and growing leader, just declared his commitment to make his life all about listening to and following not religious people but Jesus Christ. That’s like painting concentric red circles on yourself and your family, and raising your fist to the devil saying, “Go ahead, take your best shot!”
[*Not his real name.]
Thank you for being part of our Prayer Team!

Thank you, Paul!
I recieved an update from Stan Granberg along with a link to this blog. I appreciate what you guys are doing along with your approach.
My family and I plan to move to San Francisco in July to plant a campus ministry at San Francisco State, so we’ll be “neighbors.”
Anyway, God bless what you’re doing!
