Fall ‘06: Getting Ready
Phil | December 31, 2006 8:00 pmOur family used the fall to visit supporting churches: Westside Church of Christ in Bakersfield, CA (our overseeing church), Highland Oaks Church of Christ in Dallas, TX, and Hollywood Church of Christ in Hollywood, CA. People poured out their love on us and showered the urban poor of East Hollywood in prayer. It was energizing to see Jesus-followers get excited about joining God in his mission! In October and November our team relocated to a ghetto of East Hollywood. With help from several of you, we renovated the apartment building (owned by Ed & Katie and a dear friend).
